Aaannd we’re back with ‘Chai Challenge’ contestant number 2 – Stovetop in Carlton.
I’ve visited the cafe for breakfast and lunch numerous times (they do a great sandwich) but it’s the chai I keep coming back for.
Served on a platter with a copper milk jug it certainly ticks all the boxes for appearance. Plus honey on the side – double tick!
As for the taste – less spicy than the chai from 2Pocket Fairtrade Espresso but not overly sweet. I’m not usually a fan of chai that’s brewed with milk but for Stovetop’s silky smooth brew I make an exception.
It’s good but still not as good as 2Pocket’s which for now still reigns number one.
